The Community Table of Montpelier Program is a city-wide ecumenical effort that provides a hot lunch for about 100 area residents on Mondays through Thursdays. Meals are healthy and nutritious, prepared and served by both church members and other volunteers from across the community. Desserts — always enjoyed — are made fresh each week.
The Community Lunch program is housed at Trinity UMC located at 137 Main St. in Montpelier. Each day, representatives from a different faith community gather to prepare and serve the meal to anyone who comes. It is called Community Table, not a “soup kitchen,” because it’s so much more than a place to get a hot meal. We like to think of it as a place where everyone can share a meal and enjoy some friendly company. All are welcome!
Join us on Mondays through Thursdays from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. (a small donation is appreciated but never required).
